An employee finds a mysterious golden sphere in the 14th century papal palace of Avignon. Some take it to be the start of the fulfilling of an even more mysterious prophecy. The Esperanza family is believed to be its guardian by destiny, not in the least Estella, who is deputy curator. Her grandpa is obsessed by the prophecy but refuses to collaborate with his brother.
