LUNG and CHANG are doing two experiments respectively – LUNG is making a copper wire to see if it is possible to generate electricity from lightning flashes while CHANG is looking into the likelihood of turning sulphur into sulphuric acid. JING is encouraged by SZE and is getting more and more eager to introduce political reforms. LUI does not support him, nevertheless, making him very upset. JING and a eunuch get out of the Palace to chill out, during which they have a quibble with YUNG. YUNG has put some clothes on sale in a shop but she finds that the clothes pattern has been amended without her permission. She is very angry and goes to argue with the shop owner. She cannot get back what she wants after all. JING is willing to from a business partnership with YUNG and the two of them are planning to run a shop, which makes JUN so jealous.
