A Heat Stroke Affects Kanpur

Kanpur reels under the effect of extreme heat. Anita's skin turns red in the heat. She demands that Vibhuti bring a cooler, but the coolers and air conditioners are out of stock. Angoori bathes frequently for relief. With the electricity gone, the Tiwaris and the Mishras spend the night outdoors.
