Lou returns from Leigh-on-Sea in a black cab, via her husband Albert's grave. She gives Ian a list of people and times that she wants to see them, and makes him run round Albert Square sending each person over to her at Number 45 in turn. Arthur loses his job at the shop after the Karims become unsettled by the frequent police visits to see Arthur about the fire at The Dagmar. He tells Pauline and they vow not to tell Lou about it.
