Joelle can't get over her ex-boyfriend Travis, who dumped her. She invites him to a weekend getaway, but she also hires Brian, an actor and old friend, to pretend to be her boyfriend for the weekend in order to make Travis jealous as a ploy to win him back. However, Travis throws her a curve by showing up with new girlfriend Mary Ann, a wild and sexy author of erotic novels. Joelle doesn't feel that she can compete with Mary Ann, and Brian does a lousy job of playing his role; yet, Travis does make a play for Joelle.
