The reporters of 'Equipo de investigación' show that the growing demand for certain breeds and the ease of uncontrolled trade over the Internet has led to the massive importation of puppies from Eastern countries. The mafias take advantage of the legal vacuum existing in countries such as Slovakia or Hungary to breed dogs in terrible conditions and offer them at a very cheap cost. They travel overcrowded in trucks, unvaccinated and with false documentation.
