Laxmibai visits Aaishri and tells her that she agrees that a woman has to perform the duty of begetting a child. She tells Aaishri that she will do her duties but it will be out of genuine love and respect for her husband. Moropant is very upset about Manu. Laxmibai promises Aaishri that someday she will win her heart. Guruji Maharaj tells Gangadhar that he has to protect Jhansi from the British. He also warns Gangadhar that the enemy has entered his palace. Jankibai is surprised to see Shivram Khanvilkars daughter, Chimnabai, in the palace. Khanvilkar was accused of trying to kill Gangadhar by Aaishri and kicked out of the palace. Laxmibai is upset when Chimnabai tells her about the plight of Moropant. Laxmibai decides to send food to Moropant. Jankibai and her servant arrive at the scene and the servant poisons the food being sent to Moropant.
