Laxmibai announces in the court about Gangadhar's second marriage and that she will select a bride for Gangadhar. Everyone is shocked. Even the people of Jhansi are shocked. Hirabai tells Laxmibai to get used to living away from Gangadhar. Lord Dalhousie gets very angry when he hears about Gangadhar's marriage. He orders Nelson to stop the marriage. Nelson assures Dalhousie that all this is according to their plan and that the new queen will be a puppet in their hands. Gangadhar is distressed when he sees all the proposals that have come for him. Laxmibai interviews the proposals that have come and rejects all of them. Hirabai tells Laxmibai that she is rejecting the proposals as she does not want to get Gangadhar married. Laxmibai and the royal ladies attend the immersion festival of Lord Ganesha. While playing around the lake, Siddesh accidently falls in it. Laxmibai tries to rescue him but her legs get stuck in the sand.
