The Royal Palace in Kirrwiller, a renowned music hall in Alsace, and its troupe are preparing to set the stage ablaze with a spectacular show for their latest performance. But as the star attraction begins, a trunk on stage bursts open, revealing the lifeless body of Victoire Thiné, a young dancer. César Wagner and his team are immediately dispatched to investigate. They are greeted by Lucien Altmann, the establishment's director, who explains the workings and history of this internationally acclaimed cabaret...
