With Arthur distracted by recent events, Liz phones the Cartlands to arrange a lunch with Rosemary. Mrs. Gates confides to Fred that Liz received a telephone call from a past acquaintance, and she finds it inappropriate. Geoffrey takes great offense to Rosemary's implications after he shows her his selection of wedding presents for Liz. Later, Liz is overwhelmed by Geoffrey's plans and privately, she makes an unsettling declaration to Rosemary.
