In order to get the trust from LOK, LAM JOE sent his follower to disguise as the contact person on behalf of drug-trafficker. He killed him to show he was innocent and deceived LOK by false pretence. Finally, LOK believed him. LAM JOE tried to distract LOK's attention by providing more chances to meet SHI MAY, so as to improve their relation.
