Chapter 36

Two men overpower Chico and burn the book. Bruno shows the power of attorney signed by Andréa and assures Selma that they are free. Andréa asks Bruno if he had an affair with Selma, but he denies it. Chico and Júlia meet at a diner. She asks if he regrets accusing Renato. Chico resigns from his job. Andréa arrives at the entrance of Selma's building and asks to go up unannounced. She surprises Bruno and Selma in bed.
