Fuji and Shizuoka

Wanting to photograph cats in a setting with Mt. Fuji in the background, Iwago first heads to a ranch on the Asagiri Plateau, which spreads out on the west side of the mountain. There he meets a beautiful calico cat with lovely eyes, a beauty who loves to play in nature. He also searches for cats at a fishing port on the Izu Peninsula, where he encounters cats taking naps and begging fishermen for fish while taking in the beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. At Lover's Cape, he is reunited with a souvenir shop's mascot cat for the first time in 10 years, and his white fur makes him feel the passage of time. He also encounters cats at temples, tea fields, and a fishing pond fed by underground water from Mt. Fuji.
