Episode 5: I Like You

On their last night in the village, Nuannuan uses wildflowers to confess romantically to Lin Can. Lin Can finally reveals her deeply buried trauma: as a teenager, she was assaulted by her stepfather. Her mother condoned it for money and even took photos, leading Lin Can to atrtempt suicide before being taken away by her aunt—and losing contact with Nuannuan. Heartbroken, Nuannuan comforts her, and they confirm they are each other's only salvation. Their kiss, however, is secretly photographed from the shadows.
