In the summer of 1898, a small group of German settlers sets out from the last railway station toward the far north, chasing a shot at fortune in the Dawson goldfields. As uncertainty, cold, and exhaustion mount over their long journey, tensions rise and the wilderness grows increasingly dangerous.
