In a future city, two cops track down renegade cyborgs that were created for military use and personal companionship. Cyborgs typically have a short lifespan, but black-market tech threatens to extend them by moving artificial intelligence into new hosts, pushing one cop to search for a way to keep his cyborg partner alive.
