In wartime Canada, a Mountie captures an enemy officer tied to a spy mission, only for the prisoner to escape. To expose a wider sabotage network, the authorities set a risky trap that makes the Mountie seem sympathetic, drawing the spies into trusting him as their plans move into the frozen wilderness.
