"Popeye is a notorious oddity that attempts to marry cartoon zaniness with the real world. Robin Williams is pretty capable in his first starring role, but it’s difficult to understand every other word coming out of his mouth, as are the basic objectives scene to scene in this family movie. But there are things elements to casually admire, including the entire town that was built for this movie in the Mediterranean coast. There’s also a few good lines and music by Harry Nilsson that I find pretty charming. ⚓️⚓️.5 / ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️."
