In 1930s Australia, an Anglican clergyman and his reserved wife visit an eccentric painter whose controversial work has been deemed blasphemous. As the men debate art, religion, and morality, the wife becomes increasingly fascinated by the painter’s free-spirited models and their unconventional way of life.
