In 1930s Australia, an Anglican clergyman and his proper wife are sent to challenge a controversial painter’s work ahead of an international exhibit. While debates over art and blasphemy unfold, the wife becomes drawn to the painter’s three alluring models, setting off a struggle between restraint and temptation.
