Set in 1930s Italy, a wealthy Jewish family in Ferrara tries to hold onto a privileged, sheltered lifestyle, gathering friends for tennis and parties in their villa. As anti-Semitism grows under Fascism, their seclusion can’t protect them from what’s coming, leading to the unbearable reality of the Holocaust.
