After a race-track scheme goes wrong, the Lemon Drop Kid owes a gangster $10,000 and must come up with the money by Christmas. He stages a fake charity campaign that pulls his gang into Santa disguises and “collecting dough” for an “old dolls” figure with nowhere to live.
