Returns is an overly ambitious sequel. As dogshit as the CGI is, the overly complicated lore, and the monkey-human hybrid pygmies, the spirit of the film comes through touches like the air ship and its opportunistic captain. For this reason it’s a must watch after the original but can’t say the same thing about the threequel. 🦂🦂.5 / 🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂.
