In the late 1800s, a remote Carpathian castle becomes the source of eerie rumors as a brilliant but unstable inventor tests strange new devices and indulges an intense love of opera. To keep curious outsiders away, an assistant stages increasingly spooky “hauntings,” turning the fortress into a magnet for fear, confusion, and darkly comic surprises.
