In 1952 England, just before the coronation, a recently dismissed teacher meets a wealthy businessman who looks exactly like him. After the businessman disappears and leaves behind his identity, the teacher is drawn into an unfamiliar household filled with family tensions, complicated relationships, and unanswered questions.
