Inspired by true events, an Olympic swimmer escapes East Germany and begins an ambitious plan to help his sister and others flee East Berlin. With a tunnel taking shape beneath the Wall, the group faces flooding, surveillance, pressure, and difficult technical obstacles while trying to keep their plans hidden.
