A government official is sent to lead a village library in an isolated province where no library exists, bringing his wife and wheelchair-bound daughter along. As political unrest and street tensions creep into everyday life, the town becomes increasingly chaotic and absurd, alongside an emerging, tender love story in the lead-up to 1980.
