After leaving the war and trying to get home, a returning Red Army soldier is pulled into a desert conflict between a Soviet cavalry unit and local guerrillas. He’s pressured into helping protect women connected to a guerrilla leader, while pursuit and danger close in toward a shore town where the groups converge.
