Set in 1945, eight liberated children are placed in a temporary orphanage inside an abandoned palace in the forest, guarded by someone trying to help them rebuild their lives. As starvation and trauma take hold, feral camp Alsatians return for food, besieging the palace and triggering desperate survival instincts.
