In the class-obsessed, religiously divided UK of the early 1920s, two young runners train with different priorities as they chase the 1924 Paris Olympics. One sees running as worship and refuses to compete on the Sabbath, while the other battles anti-Semitism and class bias while pursuing Olympic glory.
