In 1983, a troubled senior police officer is drawn back into an investigation after a new girl goes missing, forcing him to confront earlier similar cases. Meanwhile, a local solicitor becomes convinced of a wrong conviction and presses for justice, pushing both investigations toward answers about past wrongdoing.
