Ok… let’s be real here. No one is going to win an Oscar for best acting, directing or screenplay, but F1 is fantastic. Modern cinematography meets the old 1980’s formula to give an updated touch to what worked so well for Rocky IV, Top Gun and Days of Thunder. The story is solid and Brad Pitt is, well… Brad Pitt. Damson Idris is rock solid as are Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon. The film is 2:35 and is balanced well with action. Definitely go see this in the theater. I’m predicting this will be a staple to your “I’ll stop and watch this anytime it’s on” catalog.
