In 1851, a quick-witted traveler and her companion get stranded in the Carpathian Mountains and accept shelter in a gloomy castle above a remote village. When the guest bears an uncanny resemblance to someone from the household’s past, the stay turns into a swirl of gothic scares, campy chaos, and nonstop jokes.
