In 1956, five missionaries attempt to contact a fiercely isolated tribe in Ecuador, but misunderstandings lead to tragedy. Their families later return to the region, where their efforts affect a tribal warrior and his people, opening a difficult path toward reconciliation, understanding, and forgiveness.
