Pretty Woman works pretty well as a romantic comedy. It feels like the prototype for the flurry of 90s rom coms. But its more dramatic aspirations fall pretty flat. Julia Roberts is iconic in this role for a reason, and some great supporting cast members like Hector Elizondo, the hotel manager, make this movie shine. Fun 80s excess, but not much more. 💵💵💵.5 / 💵💵💵💵💵.
