The generous reading of The Ice Pirates is that this movie is a parody, but there are so few jokes in conversation with the genre let alone successful jokes it’s hard give that take any weight. What’s apparent in the Star Wars ripoff is the clumsy blend of science fiction and fantasy in its production and costume design, characters that get almost nothing to do, and the awkwardly shot and choreographed fight sequences. 🏴☠️ / 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️.
