Project Hail Mary is great science fiction blockbuster fun. I’ve got my quibbles (the last 10 seconds of the movie and the karaoke scene), but it’s refreshing to get a movie that pretty expertly balances humor, pathos and tension while also taking great care of visual effects and production design. It owes some of that to films like First Man and Interstellar but the space travel sequences look great. 🪨🪨🪨🪨 / 🪨🪨🪨🪨🪨.
