Wake Up Dead Man is the strongest of Johnson’s Knives Out Trilogy. It’s filled with what fans of the series have enjoyed throughout the whodunnit series; pop culture references, twists and turns, and colorful characters (sometimes a little too broad for me). But the old New England aesthetic and production design, cinematography, meditation and nuanced take on religion and organized religion and clever fighting make this come out ahead of its predecessors. ⛪️⛪️⛪️⛪️ / ⛪️⛪️⛪️⛪️⛪️.
