Thunderbolts* feels like a bit of a return to form for the MCU. It’s a simple, tight narrative where characters have to problem solve. Surprisingly well choreographed and executed action sequences , good performances by Pullman and Pugh, and watching Stan roll into this movie on motorcycle a la The Terminator is just fun. Certainly not without its problems. Ghost barely registers as a character, the MCU still hasn’t figured out a compelling take on Dreyfus’ Valentina and visually this movie is particularly gray and flat, a feat by MCU’s standards. ⚡️⚡️⚡️.5 / ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️.
