Josephine opens with a POV sequence from the titular character’s perspective, a nod to the audience that they will be experiencing very adult and complicated topics through an 8-year olds perspective. The sexual assault she witnesses is confusing and scary, and she’s compelled to learn more. If this movie doesn’t sound like a lot of fun, it’s not. It works, but I can’t think of anyone I would recommend this movie to. ⚽️⚽️⚽️ / ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
