Ambitious Turns Green
Ambitious gets a bit overambitious when he takes up pipe smoking. Although he brags to Spin that smoking is easy (prompting a curious Spin to try the pipe), Ambitious' overconfidence soon causes him enormous onstage embarrassment during his big duet with Annette in the "Hap-Hap-Happy Snowman" number.

Spin Walks Out
Darlene takes the stage to sing "The Show Must Go On," while a love-struck Ambitious looks on. Her song and dance brings down the house. But it looks like her show might not be going on after all: A tense argument breaks out between Spin and Marty as they are getting ready for their Robin Hood scene after Marty wrongly accuses Spin of trying to steal his sword. Old recriminations quickly bubble up to the surface and Spin storms out of the bunkhouse. Boiling mad, Spin jumps on Dynamite and takes off, just as Moochie comes to summon him to the theater. The company is upset when Moochie tells them Spin has walked out, but Annette thinks she may be able to bring him back.

A Sheep in Wolf's Clothing
Spin sulks by the creek until Annette persuades him to come back to rehearsal. Marty sees Annette helping Spin with his costume and isn't pleased. The curtain goes up on the Robin Hood scene, which features a sour and forlorn Robin scolding Friar Tuck and the trio of Merry Men because his true love, Maid Marian, has been away from Sherwood Forest. Ambitious tries to stage manage the scene and give prompts to the actors, but meddling Moochie insists on helping and only succeeds in making a mess of the script.
