The Life of Riley

Riley has to go to the hospital to have his tonsils out.

Riley's insistence that Babs has nothing to do with Simon comes between him and Babs. He forbids her to see him, then when she sneaks around behind his back, he chases Simon off. Both his wife and daughter are very upset with him.

Riley thinks that Babs' boyfriend Simon has money, after he finds his bank book. Riley talks Simon into going into business with him and quits his job. He then finds out that Simon's bank book was a fake as he was using it for his accounting class.

Riley decides to go to night school and gets caught helping a friend cheat who's trying to become a American citizen.

Babs doesn't want to go to a school dance because she doesn't have a nice dress. Riley buys a used dress, but the former owner of the dress is a snob at school who tells Babs that the dress used to be hers.

Riley plans a birthday party for son Junior but can't get anyone to come to the party because another boy's birthday is the same day.

Babs and her boyfriend have foolishly spent their money on an acting school con. Riley and Gillis are determined to go to the phony school and demand the kids' money be returned, but they didn't expect the teacher to be a gorgeous blonde.
