The Brothers
The Brothers is a TVB television series which premiered on 21 April 1980. The show's theme song "The Brothers", was composed and arranged by Joseph Koo, with Wong Jim, writing the lyrics. It was originally sung by Cantopop singer, Roman Tam

FAI, a young technician trainee who loves bullying young kids and fooling around, learns kung-fu from his grand-father who is a traditional Chinese doctor. One day, FAI bumped into his cousin SHING in a cafe who is threatened by the rogues for money. To rescue SHING, FAI marches ostentatiously into the cafe and with just a roll of newspaper underneath his arm, he scares the rogues away and makes a narrow escape home. TUNG, his neighbour, a factory worker has adored FAI ever since her childhood. She is the daughter of a gambler, YAU. That night, TUNG finds that her father has taken home his old friend, KEUNG, who happens to be a patient escaping from a mental hospital. This makes TUNG very uneasy.

FAI's mother, FONG, was the first wife of TAI, the owner of a renown pharmaceutic company. Despite his marriage with his second wife, TAI still loves FONG deeply. One day, whilst delivering some medicine to FONG to cure her stomachache, TAI runs into FONG's father. Because of his second marriage, his father-in-law scolds him scathingly. Given no choice, TAI leaves. Seeing that her husband fails to convince her obstinate father, FONG sobes.
