Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen

Former finalists return to the Food Network Star kitchen for a second shot at stardom! Hosts Valerie Bertinelli and Tyler Florence kick off the proceedings by identifying what kept each of the alumni from prevailing in their previous season. Then, the alumni each take on a retro dessert in desperate need of a comeback and shoot an Instagram video about their updated version. Duff Goldman joins Valerie and Tyler to help judge the results, and one contestant will be eliminated from the competition.

The contestants are divided into three groups, with each group assigned a decade - 60s, 70s, and 80s. The task is to create a starter, main course, and dessert that represents the culinary trends and flavors of their assigned decade.

In this episode of Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen, the remaining seven contestants are put to the test as they attempt to pass the bar - the blue ribbon bar, that is. The chefs are challenged to create inventive dishes featuring the classic blue ribbon ingredient - mayonnaise.
