This three-part meditation moves from a barrage of war images to a quieter stretch in postwar Sarajevo, where writers and visitors gather for a conference and reflect on conflict, memory, and responsibility. Linking Sarajevo with the tensions between Palestine and Israel, it uses the ideas of Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise to question what war does to people and to art.
